Tandoori Fish

1) Whole fish 1 (2-2 1/2 lb.)

2) Garam masala 1 tbsp

3) Cooking oil 3 tbsp

Grind to a fine paste:

1) Ginger 1 1/2 inch piece

2) Cloves garlic 8

3) Cube green papaya 2 inch

4) Turmeric powder 1 tsp

5) Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp

6) Red chilies powder 1 tbsp

7) Juice of lemons 2

8) Salt to taste.

Cut and scale the fish, then wash well.
2. Wipe dry, apply the ground paste all over, inside the stomach and head as well.
3. Make four ashes on either side of the fish with a sharp knife to allow the spices to permeate.
4. Let stand in a cool place for 1 hour.
5. Pierce the fish lengthwise with a skewer (seekh) (using two skewers if one is not long enough) and cook in a tandoor or on a charcoal barbecue.
6. If these methods of cooking are not available, cook under a grill or bake in the oven.
7. Turn the fish ever 10 minutes and cook till lightly browned.
8. Heat the oil and brush on the fish with a pastry brush, feather or piece of cotton wool while cooking.
9. When the fish is barely cooked, sprinkle with garam masala and cook till a dark golden brown.
10. Serve garnished with slices of lemon.

Most of people like the sea Food very much and prefer to eat only Sea food. Fry Fish is the great dish, its basically a Arabic dish, and usually eat in all over the world,  must give it a try.

Fish Fry Recipe

Prep Time: 25 minutes
Baking Time: 30 minutes
Ingredient List:

1 kg white fish fillets
1/2 cup bread crumbs
Oil for frying

To be ground into paste
2 sprigs of spring onion
1″ ginger
3 garlic flakes
4 green chillies
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 cup coriander leaves
1/2 cup gram flour (besan)
Salt as per taste

Tandoori Fish Recipe

Prep Time: 195 minutes
Baking Time: 30 minutes
Ingredient List:

1 cod fish
2 tbsp lemon juice
1″ ginger
7 galic flakes
5 green chillies
1/2 cup curd (yoghurt)
5 drops of red colour
Salt to taste
2 tbsp oil

Make powder of :
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp coriander seeds (roasted)
1 tsp cumin seeds (roasted)
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
2 dry red chillies
1 tsp turmeric powder

2 fish pieces
4 tbsp butter
5 onions, chopped
4 green chilli, slit
½ tsp turmeric powder
10 gm ginger, chopped
½ cup cream
1 cup yogurt, whisked
½ tsp fenugreek seeds, broiled, powdered
½ tsp green cardamom powder

1. Roll each fish strip and secure with a toothpick.
2. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan and sauté onions until soft.
3. Add green chillies and ginger to the onions and stir fry for a few minutes.
4. Add turmeric powder, yogurt, cream, fenugreek and cardamom powder, sauté for 10 to 15 minutes.
5. Place the fish rolls in the sauce and cook on slow fire for 10 to 15 minutes or until fish is cooked. Remove from heat.
6. Transfer the fish into a serving dish, remove the toothpicks.
7. Strain the gravy and pour on top of the fish. Serve hot, garnished with green coriander and accompanied by steamed rice

1/2 kg Fish
6 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Ajwain
1/4 cup Cream
1 tsp Cumin powder
2 tsp Garam masala
1/2 tsp Red chili powder
1 tbsp Garlic paste
2 tbsp Gram Flour
2 tbsp Lime juice
2 tbsp Mint Cream (chutney)
2 tbsp Coriander cream (chutney)
1/2 tsp White pepper powder
1 Onion, chopped in rings.
1/4 cup Curd/yogurt
Salt (as you like)


1. Mix cream garlic paste, ajwain, chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala, lime juice, salt, mint, coriander, gram flour in yogurt.
2. Add fish pieces to the above mixture and marinate them for about 3 hours.
3. Boil oil in a pan, deep fry fish pieces till crisp.
4. Enjoy your Fish Tikka. Hope you love this Indian recipe.

Fish Curry
Another Fish recipe, for you, for those who like curry. So then can have fish with curry. Try this great recipe at home and you will like it very much.

1/2 kg White fish fillet
1 Onions, chopped
1 Onions, Grinded
1 tsp each of Ginger-Garlic paste
3 tbsp Tomato puree
1/2 cup Water
1/2 cup Ghee
1 tsp White cumin seeds
1 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Garam masala powder
Salt To Taste


1. Cut the fish into medium-sized pieces.
2. Heat the ghee in a pan and fry the fish pieces gently untill light brown.
3. Add the chopped onion to the ghee in the pan and fry until golden.
4. Add White cumin seeds, turmeric, garam masala and cook stirring for few seconds.
5. Now add the grinded onion, garlic, ginger and tomato puree.
6. Fry the mixture until the ghee starts to separate.
7. Add the water and salt and bring the mixture to the boil.
8. Add fried fish pieces, reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
9. Enjoy hot Fish Curry with rice or roti.

1/4 tsp garam masala powder
1 pinch of dried methi
2 tbs yogurt
1 tomato
2-3 whole green chilies
2-3 tbs oil
